Anthony Municipal Court was first built in 1883 in the El Paso Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1875. Four courthouses have been built in Anthony. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
