Collingsworth District Court was first built in 1911 in the Donley Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1884. Four courthouses have been built in Clarendon. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
