Bartonville Municipal Court was first built in 1851 in the Denton Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in November 1850. Four courthouses have been built in Argyle. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
