Mesquite Justice Court serves the residents of Dallas County, the 66th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Mesquite Justice Court was first built in 1907 in the Dallas Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in September 1870. Four courthouses have been built in Mesquite. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
