Coppell Municipal Court was first built in 1862 in the Dallas Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in January 1888. Four courthouses have been built in Coppell. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
