Lorenzo Municipal Court serves the residents of Crosby County, the 80th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Lorenzo Municipal Court was first built in 1873 in the Crosby Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1916. Four courthouses have been built in Lorenzo. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
