Crosby County Court serves the residents of Crosby County, the 80th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Crosbyton district clerk and county clerk. Crosby County Court was first built in 1880 in the Crosby Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1855. Four courthouses have been built in Crosbyton. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
