Crosby County Court serves the residents of Crosby County, the 80th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Crosbyton district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Crosby County Court judge has been in office since 2013 and has dedicated his life serving the Crosbyton. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Crosby County Courthouse. The Crosby County Court is located on 201 West Aspen Street in the city of Crosbyton, the Crosby county seat.

The administration of justice in the Crosby County Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Crosby County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Crosby County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Crosby County Court was first built in 1880 in the Crosby Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1855. Four courthouses have been built in Crosbyton. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 806-675-2011 or fax 806-675-2403 to the court during office hours to get more information.
