Valley View Justice of Peace Court was first built in 1853 in the Cooke Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in November 1870. Four courthouses have been built in Valley View. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
