Comanche District Court was first built in 1891 in the Comanche Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in December 1853. Four courthouses have been built in Comanche. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
