Weimar Municipal Court serves the residents of Colorado County, the 9th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Weimar Municipal Court was first built in 1862 in the Colorado Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1874. Four courthouses have been built in Weimar. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
