Reklaw Municipal Court serves the residents of Cherokee County, the 239th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Reklaw Municipal Court was first built in 1912 in the Cherokee Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1883. Four courthouses have been built in Reklaw. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
