Mont Belvieu Justice Court serves the residents of Chambers County, the 105th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Baytown district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Mont Belvieu Justice Court judge has been in office since 2012 and has dedicated his life serving the Baytown. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Chambers County Courthouse. The Mont Belvieu Justice Court is located on 10616 Eagle Drive in the city of Baytown, the Chambers county seat.

The administration of justice in the Mont Belvieu Justice Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Chambers County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Chambers County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Mont Belvieu Justice Court was first built in 1847 in the Chambers Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1850. Four courthouses have been built in Baytown. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 281-383-3197 or fax 281-385-2158 to the court during office hours to get more information.
