Anahuac Justice Court serves the residents of Chambers County, the 105th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Anahuac Justice Court was first built in 1886 in the Chambers Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in December 1894. Four courthouses have been built in Anahuac. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
