Camp County Court serves the residents of Camp County, the 183th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Camp County Court was first built in 1899 in the Camp Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in March 1857. Four courthouses have been built in Pittsburg. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
