San Benito Municipal Court was first built in 1870 in the Cameron Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in November 1883. Four courthouses have been built in San Benito. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
