Luling Municipal Court serves the residents of Caldwell County, the 159th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Luling Municipal Court was first built in 1870 in the Caldwell Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1851. Four courthouses have been built in Luling. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
