Burleson County Court serves the residents of Burleson County, the 145th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Caldwell district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Burleson County Court judge has been in office since 2010 and has dedicated his life serving the Caldwell. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Burleson County Courthouse. The Burleson County Court is located on 100 West Buck Street in the city of Caldwell, the Burleson county seat.

The administration of justice in the Burleson County Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Burleson County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Burleson County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site http://co.burleson.tx.us/government/county-court/.

Burleson County Court was first built in 1920 in the Burleson Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in February 1907. Four courthouses have been built in Caldwell. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 979-567-2333 or fax 979-567-2372 to the court during office hours to get more information.
