Brazoria Justice Court serves the residents of Brazoria County, the 189th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Brazoria Justice Court was first built in 1907 in the Brazoria Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in August 1866. Four courthouses have been built in Brazoria. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
