Meridian Municipal Court serves the residents of Bosque County, the 254th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Meridian Municipal Court was first built in 1891 in the Bosque Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in July 1920. Four courthouses have been built in Meridian. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
