Clifton Justice of Peace Court was first built in 1894 in the Bosque Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in January 1895. Four courthouses have been built in Clifton. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
