San Antonio Justice of Peace Court III serves the residents of Bexar County, the 210th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the San Antonio district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current San Antonio Justice of Peace Court III judge has been in office since 2011 and has dedicated his life serving the San Antonio. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Bexar County Courthouse. The San Antonio Justice of Peace Court III is located on 218 South Laredo Street in the city of San Antonio, the Bexar county seat.

The administration of justice in the San Antonio Justice of Peace Court III is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Bexar County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Bexar County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

San Antonio Justice of Peace Court III was first built in 1871 in the Bexar Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in October 1907. Four courthouses have been built in San Antonio. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 210-335-2803 to the court during office hours to get more information.
