Temple Municipal Court serves the residents of Bell County, the 231th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Temple Municipal Court was first built in 1893 in the Bell Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in May 1894. Four courthouses have been built in Temple. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
