Morgan’s Point Resort Municipal Court serves the residents of Bell County, the 231th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Belton district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Morgan’s Point Resort Municipal Court judge has been in office since 2011 and has dedicated his life serving the Belton. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Bell County Courthouse. The Morgan’s Point Resort Municipal Court is located on 8 Morgan’s Point Boulevard in the city of Belton, the Bell county seat.

The administration of justice in the Morgan’s Point Resort Municipal Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Bell County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Bell County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Morgan’s Point Resort Municipal Court was first built in 1917 in the Bell Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in April 1882. Four courthouses have been built in Belton. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 254-780-1334 to the court during office hours to get more information.
