Bandera Municipal Court serves the residents of Bandera County, the 125th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Bandera district clerk and county clerk. Bandera Municipal Court was first built in 1900 in the Bandera Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in November 1898. Four courthouses have been built in Bandera. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
