Windthorst Municipal Court was first built in 1853 in the Archer Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in June 1910. Four courthouses have been built in Windthorst. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
