Holliday Municipal Court serves the residents of Archer County, the 36th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. Holliday Municipal Court was first built in 1915 in the Archer Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in December 1897. Four courthouses have been built in Holliday. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome.
