Andrews County Court serves the residents of Andrews County, the 196th largest county in Texas state. The county falls in the third senatorial district and the 11th congressional district. As a result, it holds a very special role that makes it supported by both the Andrews district clerk and county clerk. Issues that should be filed with the county clerk or the district clerk should be strictly filed within the respective courts; luckily, the staff is friendly and will help you through the process.

The current Andrews County Court judge has been in office since 2015 and has dedicated his life serving the Andrews. The courts, the district clerk, and the county clerk’s office are located in the historic Andrews County Courthouse. The Andrews County Court is located on 201 North Main Street in the city of Andrews, the Andrews county seat.

The administration of justice in the Andrews County Court is open, transparent, and open to the public. All the proceedings and acts of the court are recorded and maintained by the Andrews County Clerk’s Office.  The public can access the record online or by mailing the county clerk’s office located at Andrews County Courthouse. The requests are made by creating a written statement indicating a request for the records, the case number, and requisite application fees in a stamped self-addressed envelope. For more information about court proceedings, visit the court’s official site.

Andrews County Court was first built in 1889 in the Andrews Courthouse Square where the first sessions of the court were held alfresco underneath the boughs of oak trees in November 1859. Four courthouses have been built in Andrews. The current fourth courthouse is a great architectural marvel featuring a double-spiral staircase and a beautiful stained-glass montage in the dome. You can call 430-524-1401 or fax 430-524-1470 to the court during office hours to get more information.
