San Marcos Records Archive ‘s dedication is to collect, preserve and catalog paper elements related to Hays County history. The San Marcos Records Archive makes the collected items available to the public for research.

With the guidance of the Hays County Historical Commission, the archive researches the history, archeology, and architecture in Hays County and educates citizens on the significance of preserving their rich heritage.
